Note from last night's Baltimore event:January 16, 2014 – BaltimoreA great crowd in Baltimore tonight. And a great location at a community center. Ellicot City is a wonderful, quaint town with an incredible collection of historic buildings. I expect there is much to be learned about its history. We would enjoy a more leisurely visit some time. The desserts tonight were outrageous and the winner of the dessert competition literally created a work of art. We’ve been on a New Year’s resolution diet and it was all we could do…We also have a new record for the puzzle competition. The Millers completed the puzzle in 31:52 smashing the record set in Philadelphia. Interestingly the winning family wasn't from Baltimore. They were VPSA’ers from, believe it or not, Fairbanks, Alaska. They are missionaries to Alaskan natives that happened to be in the area raising their support. What a small world. What a wonderful world our families have allowed us to be a part of.And we are very excited about the encouraging prospects of an area director for our VPSA Communities in Baltimore. There were some great candidates. What a blessing this trip has become.
In order to get the word out about our new VPSA Local Communities, Founders, Marlin and Laurie Detweiler - along with their son Brandon - are hosting Family Game Night events in 13 cities nationwide over 16 days.
We're posting Marlin's "Notes from the Road" to let everyone in on what's happening and enjoy some of the photos and videos.
